Moroccan Orangecello Cake with Glaze
 
Serves 10 – 12
Ingredients
  • Preheat oven 350°
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup Gioia Luisa Orangecello
  • Zest from 1 large orange
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  • ½ cup Gioia Luisa Orangecello
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Grease and flour a tube pan.
    Using a mixer, beat together eggs and sugar until thick, slowly add the oil. Stir in the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Then add the Orangecello and beat until smooth. Add the zest and vanilla.
    Pour the batter into the dressed baking pan and bake for about 40 minutes until cake is done.
  3. To test if done, insert a knife and if blade comes out clean, it is ready.
